We’re pumped to have completed the latest expansion of our Mornington Peninsula production facility, which will allow us to brew up to two million litres annually.
The expansion is the result of strong distribution growth and consumer demand during and post the COVID-19 lockdown.
“Over the past six to eight months our external business has experienced huge growth and and our one-of-a-kind taproom has continued to welcome plenty of locals and tourists to the region since coming out of lockdown in late 2020.” said St Andrews Beach Brewery’s Managing Director Andrew Purchase.
“The beauty of our property and facility is that we have a lot of space to grow into. Instead of looking to outsource part our production we decided to double down and invest in more stainless steel to support our growth.” Purchase continued.
The expansion includes an additional vessel to the 25HL brewhouse, a new tank farm which adds 500HL of capacity and a new 300 litre pilot brewery. In late 2019 we also added to our facility additional fermentation capacity and a canning line which has the ability to can up to sixty cans per minute.
“The expansion of the production facility has come at a great time, as there are plenty of exciting things happening down here at St Andrews Beach. The increased capacity will allow us to produce our new home grown apple cider, brew more of our popular beer brands, increase our seltzer production and experiment with interesting new styles on the new pilot brewery.” said St Andrews Beach Brewery’s Head Brewer Matt Stitt.
“We have also just welcomed two new brewers to the team, which is really exciting.” Matt continued.
St Andrews Beach Brewery fans can expect to see a number of new products in the coming months, including our very own home grown cider and a number of limited releases which will be available in cans and on tap at the brewery.
